Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution. This role ensures operational efficiency, safety compliance, and accurate order fulfillment while leading and developing warehouse staff.

 Responsibilities:

• Manage all warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing, and outbound shipping
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and system controls
• Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to meet customer and business expectations
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and consistency
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipping
• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse team members, including scheduling and performance management
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company policies
• Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and workflow processes
• Coordinate with transportation, procurement, and customer service teams
• Manage warehouse systems (WMS) and ensure data accuracy
• Control expenses and manage the warehouse budget
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, logistics, Business or related field preferred
• 5+ years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 2 years in leadership role
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in high-volume or multi-site distribution environments
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Employee may occasionally use computer and other office equipment to perform duties.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
