Join the MVT family!!! Mesilla Valley Transportation is hiring Local Pickup and Delivery Clerk in El Paso, TX!

The Local P&D Clerk is responsible for supporting the Local P&D department with verification of documents for all loads in the El Paso yard.  

Responsibilities:

• Review all inbound loads to ensure all information matches the order information. 

• Process and T-Call all loads brought in by foreign carriers. 

• Scan all bills that arrive and with associated order number. 

• Document and report any issues with order or trailer discrepancies to the appropriate teams. 

• File all envelopes in the appropriate area. 

• Send daily emails on local deliveries with pending appointments. 

• Compile information for morning meeting numbers.    

• Reconcile the yard checks for El Paso, Las Cruces, and Santa Teresa per SOP. 

• Respond to email request for load documentation.   

 Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.  

• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.  

• Basic knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography. 

• Excellent customer service skills. 

• Excellent communication skills. 

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.  

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, or listen. 

• The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; lift overhead; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.  

• This position requires frequent manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination such as keyboarding.  

• Will have repetitive hand motions and prolonged periods of sitting. 

• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. 

Work Environment:

• Mostly an indoor office environment. 

• Employees must use computers, telephones, and other office equipment to perform duties.  

• The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
