The Warehouse Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of the warehouse by overseeing inventory control, coordinating workflow, and assisting with supervision of warehouse staff.  

Responsibilities:

• Assists in managing inventory in and out of the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and proper tracking.  
• Oversees receiving, unloading, and storage of inventory from vendors, including tires and related materials. 
• Ensures work orders are properly completed, documented, and distributed, maintaining accurate warehouse records. 
• Coordinates and supports daily warehouse activities, including stocking, organizing, and fulfilling customer orders. 
• Monitors proper labeling, sorting, and placement of materials on racks, shelves, or pallets. 
• Assists in supervising warehouse staff and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. 
• Supports order fulfillment by picking, packing, and preparing materials for shipment or delivery. 
• Operates forklift as needed, ensuring safe and efficient material handling. 
• Maintains accurate records of materials received, stored, and distributed. 
• Identifies and reports damaged, missing, or excess inventory and helps resolve discrepancies. 
• Ensures compliance with safety policies, procedures, and proper use of equipment. 
• Assists in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and facility. 
• Supports general facilities maintenance as needed. 
• Coordinates with management on workflow, inventory needs, and operational improvements. 
• Carries out additional tasks as assigned by warehouse management. 
• Maintains professional appearance and promotes a positive work environment. 
• Must practice good attendance habits, including punctuality and adherence to scheduled shifts.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and values of Border Tire.  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
• Three to five years related experience and/or training.  
• Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices. 
• Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates. 
• Strong interpersonal skills. 
• Commitment to excellence and high standards 
• Top-notch skills with a track record of achievement and success.
