We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits & Leaves Coordinator to support our growing HR team. This role will be responsible for managing company-wide leaves of absence—including FMLA and other types of protected and personal leave—while also supporting the administration and communication of employee benefits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leave of Absence Administration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees requesting or currently on leave.
- Coordinate and process all types of leave, including FMLA, personal, medical, and other applicable leaves.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company leave policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all leave cases.
- Track leave timelines, eligibility, and return-to-work dates, and communicate proactively with employees and managers.
- Benefits Support
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
- Help with day-to-day benefits inquiries and troubleshoot employee issues related to enrollments, claims, or eligibility.
- Support annual open enrollment planning and execution.
- Employee Communications
- Draft and distribute clear, engaging communications related to benefits and leave, including guides, FAQs, emails, intranet content, and event promotions.
- Collaborate with HR and internal communications teams to ensure messaging is consistent, accessible, and aligned with company tone and branding.
- Maintain up-to-date resources and communication templates for benefits and leave processes.
- General HR Support
- Maintain and update employee files and HRIS records related to leaves and benefits.
- Generate reports and metrics related to leave trends and benefit participation.
- Support HR projects and assist with compliance audits as needed.
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, Benefits Administration, or Leaves Management.
- Working knowledge of FMLA and other leave-related regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex policies into easy-to-understand language.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS, benefits platforms, or leave tracking systems preferred.
- Experience in employee communications or marketing is a strong plus.
