Sales Development Representative

Job Summary

The Sales Development Representative plays a vital role in driving the success of our sales team by generating leads, qualifying prospects, and setting appointments for our sales executives. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships with potential customers and identifying their needs to help us grow our customer base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Conduct research to identify potential customers and target accounts
  • Generate new leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach
  • Qualify leads to determine their interest and fit for our products and services
  • Schedule appointments for our sales executives to meet with potential customers
  • Follow up with leads and prospects to nurture the relationship and move them through the sales funnel
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and refine lead generation strategies 
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in transportation/logistics, marketing, business administration preferred but not required
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales development or a related role
  • Experience in B2B sales
  • Familiarity with the transportation industry
  • Proven track record of achieving activity targets
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with making cold calls and sending emails to potential customers
  • Familiarity with sales metrics and KPIs
