Janitors are responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep the facility including interior buildings and offices to meet company and regulatory compliance.

Schedule: Monday - Friday - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional need to work on a weekend or swap a day for business needs, such as floor stripping, etc)

Responsibilities:

• Performs routine cleaning tasks in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees.   
• Focuses on general care of all assigned areas, which include restrooms and interior areas of facilities. This includes but is not limited to, washing all windows and glass doors, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming offices, and garbage pickup in the service area.    
• Strip, buff, wax, and polish floors as needed 
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.   
• Responsible for cleaning all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, bathrooms, and vending machines.    
• Dust furniture and fixtures.    
• Responsible for restocking paper supplies in restrooms as needed.  
• Maintains cleaning supplies.    
• Promote a safe work environment and enforce all Company Safety policies; maintain and promote good housekeeping standards.  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   
• Proven experience as a janitor worker or other similar position, preferably in a company setting (Preferred).
• Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English fluently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate efficiently with external & internal customers.
