Join the MVT Family! Mesilla Valley Transportation is now hiring Local Pick-Up & Delivery (P&D) Dispatchers in El Paso, TX!!!

A Local Pick-Up & Delivery Dispatcher is responsible for supporting drivers after hours, identifying issues, and using critical thinking skills to find solutions. They will work together with Operations teams to ensure on-time service is met per customers' expectations.

Schedule

 Wednesday: 12pm-6pm; Thursday-Saturday 6am-6pm

Training: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm for approximately 2 weeks 

:Responsibilities:

• Process outbound traffic leaving the yard in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Ensure that the gate passes, truck, trailer, driver and seal match.
• Accurately enter the information into our systems and send the driver the dispatch
• Review bills and ensure they match the system and physical trailer.
• Follow established processes to deal with high value and Canadian loads.
• Scan all the local driver's trip sheets from the shift to ensure PODs are uploaded.
• Stock envelopes and trip sheets, and various supplies.
• Send the Automotive email report daily.
• Assist the team with emails and incoming calls.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of motor carrier operations and geography.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Analytics and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment..

Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, or listen.
• The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; lift overhead; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• This position requires frequent manual dexterity in combination with eye/hand coordination such as keyboarding.
• Will have repetitive hand motions and prolonged periods of standing.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Work Environment:

• Indoor and Outdoor environment.
  Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions including direct sunlight & heat.
• Employees must use computers, telephones, and other office equipment to perform duties.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
