The Lab Technician collects samples, accurately records data, and analyzes trends to assess the quality of the product by maintaining a clean lab. 

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (Days/Nights Vary)

Days: 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Nights: 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform multiple lab tests to support in-process and production quality control. 
  • Collect samples according to pull schedule and perform routine laboratory tests or analysis to assess quality. 
  • Accurately document all test results and analyze data for trends. 
  • Tests and analyzes in support of biodiesel process and production. 
  • Provides operational support as required, with respect to testing and analysis. 
  • Conducts all daily testing and qualification of test and production material. 
  • Maintains records of all necessary testing process documents applicable to ensuring production products meet specifications and quality standards. 
  • Effectively communicate test results with production personnel in a live continuous flow production environment. 
  • Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab. 
  • Maintain all lab equipment in proper working order and troubleshoot as necessary. 
  • Wear all PPE required for the job and comply with all company policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance and attend required training as scheduled.
  • Work cooperatively with others. 
  • Work overtime and scheduled hours as assigned. 
  • Work in cold/hot/dusty/loud environment. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or higher (Preferred). 
  • Able to make routine decisions within a predetermined span of authority and follow the established chain of command. 
  • Able to exercise independent judgment prior to consultation with the supervisor. 
  • Must have a hands-on approach, positive ‘can do' attitude. and strong work ethic.
