The Inventory Technician is responsible for receiving, recording, issuing, and maintaining inventory equipment. This position is responsible for managing inventory records and setting guidelines. Ensuring electronic inventory records are kept and match physical inventory.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a weekly inventory.
  • Research and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure materials are secured and stored properly to conserve space in compliance with safety procedures.
  • Keep branch site inventory up-to-date while limiting stockouts.
  • Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment compares identifying information, counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Affixes shipping labels.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, and rejects damaged items.
  • Inventory newly arrived items.
  • Routes items to departments.
  • May direct others in preparing to outgo and receiving incoming shipments.
  • Use a computer to update Inventory assets management.
  • Track shipments as needed.
  • Assist in helpdesk tickets involving Inventory Tech requesting new equipment, collecting old equipment, and reporting damaged equipment.
  • Oversee the rotations of inventories within the warehouse as needed.
  • Travel to remote locations for inventories.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and update inventory as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years or more years of experience working in a warehouse environment and inventory control.
  • Computer literacy required, prefer knowledge of MS Office.
  • Basic IT functions.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management and team members.
  • Perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks under pressure, and within a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to handle detail-oriented work.
  • General fluency in English required, verbal and written.
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or scheduled form.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Inventory Tech needs problem-solving skills to come up with ways to improve overall efficiency and overcome inventory problems.
  • Critical-thinking skills to establish action plans and routinely assess their effectiveness.
  • Problem-solving skills to anticipate problems before they happen and handle them appropriately when they do.
  • Strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
  • Proactive communication and detail.
  • Bilingual (Preferred).
